Thanks for checking out Close-Knit, the newest & coolest Houston based knitting club for teens and young adults. Started by Kayla Dansby, Close- Knit is meant to be a club where young people can not only knit but hang out, drink smoothies (which are delicious if I do say so myself), talk about absolutely whatever, and laugh. If this appeals to you then there’s some info you need to know:
Who: open but not limited to teens and young adults who participate in knitting, crocheting, or needlecrafting
When: 1st meeting Tuesday, July 12, 2005
*Future meetings will be held weekly on Tuesdays, same place and time*
Time: 6-8p.m
Location: Java Cup @ 662 Westbury Square Center
Cost: $10 due at the first meeting of every month
If this sounds cool to you contact Club President Kayla to R.S.V.P

Doesn't my granny knit???
Lol! She very well may and for a good reason too! Not only is it tons of fun but it makes plain sense. With Close-Knit Club, you can talk with your friends for two hours, look down and you're halfway on your way to creating that tank top or that skirt, or the scarf you saw in a magazine for 10 times what you paid for the yarn.
It's also a great hobby to do outside of the meetings. Whether you're on a roadtrip, watching tv, or bored to death and staring at a wall, you can knit and the results and satisfaction you get from a completed project is incredibly gratifying.
